CHARGES LAID IN SUSPICIOUS FIRE INVESTIGATION

Belleville, ON - On April 8, 2020, Belleville Police Criminal Investigations Division made arrests of two males in connection with an arson that occurred on October 16, 2019. On that date at approximately 5:30 p.m., police received a complaint of a suspicious structure fire at an East-end residence. The garage on the property was completely destroyed and the main residence was broken into. The suspects had attempted to set fire to the main residence as well. Damages are estimated at approx. $50,000.00 in lost and damaged property.  

Charged with one count each of Arson, Attempt Arson, Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence and Possession of Stolen Property are:

Kyle Arsenault and Jordan Earle, both 19-year-old males of no fixed address. Both are being held for Bail Hearings on today’s date.

Both of the accused are already before the courts in relation to numerous offences in the Robbery of Ro’s Convenience Store on October 16, 2019.

ORIGINAL RELEASE - SUSPICIOUS FIRE

Belleville, ON – On October 16, 2019 at 5:27 p.m., Belleville Firefighters and police were called to a suspicious fire in the far East end of the city.  An investigation revealed a garage had become fully engulfed in flames and was destroyed.  Further investigation revealed a break-in to a home on the same property.  Windows were smashed and an ignitable liquid was located to have been poured about the home.  There were no injuries reported.  Belleville Fire and Forensic Investigators remain at the scene for further investigation.
