Special Olympics Polar Plunge Comes to Belleville
On Friday, February 24th at 1:00 pm, members of the Belleville Police Service, Belleville Fire Department, Hastings EMS, Belleville Probation and Parole, and other community partners will be taking the plunge in the frigid waters of the Bay of Quinte in support of Special Olympics Ontario.
The 2023 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ontario kicked off on January 21st, 2023 and is occurring across the province with the final plunge taking place in Peel Region on March 25th, 2023. ATM THEFTS
On 2 February, 2023 police received three separate reports of two suspects breaking into businesses and stealing the ATM. At 1:27am the first call was received to the Fresh Co. store on North Front street. The suspects were observed in what was believed to be a dark Ford F-250. Suspects entered the store and attempted to steal the ATM. At 2:00am, police received a call that the suspects stole another ATM from the Quinte Mall causing significant damage to the building.
