Who We Are

Emergency: [9-1-1]  Deaf (TTY): 613-966-3788

The Belleville Community Resource Unit is currently comprised of four officers who are either designated as School Support Officers or Community Support Officers. They are proactively promoting relationships within the community they police. They promote community policing through proactive calls for services, foot, Segway and bike patrols, and liaising with the public, students and fellow police officers.

A large component of the Community Resource Unit is working with community partners to assist individuals struggling with homelessness, addiction, and mental health.

The Community Support Officers are also involved in community engagement initiatives, including; educational presentations on a variety of topics as well as providing specific support to other “communities within the community”.

The Belleville Police Service strives to consistently build bridges with community partners to serve our community better. Our Community Support Officers, in particular, look forward to engaging in this vital work.
