October 3, 2022 Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 222 calls for service over a 72-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 30th of September, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 3rd of October, 2022. Weapons and Drug related charges On the 23rd of August 2022, just after midnight, Belleville Police attended an apartment building on Charlotte Street, Belleville, Ontario, regarding a home invasion during which the suspects brandished firearms. September 29, 2022 Shooting On the 29th of September, 2022, Belleville Police, at 1:39 pm, received an ambulance assist call on Pine Street Belleville, Ontario. The ambulance assist was in regards to a male being shot. Police arrived on the scene, and descriptions were provided of the suspects. Due to the nature of the call, local schools were placed in hold and secure as a precautionary measure. After determining that the safety risk to the public had been alleviated, the secure and hold was lifted. Investigation into the incident has led to the arrest of three individuals. Break and Enter On the 29th of September, 2022, at 6:10 am, Belleville Police attended a business on Cannifton Road, Belleville, Ontario, regarding a break and enter.
