Arrest made in Homicide Investigation
On the 9th of January, members of the Belleville Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division with assistance from the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit, K9 and Project Renewal members made an arrest relating to the homicide which occurred at 320 N. Front St. on the 6th of January 2024.
Hayden Moreton, 24-years-old was arrested at his residence in Peterborough without incident. Moreton has been charged with one count of 2nd degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. Moreton was held for a bail hearing on the 10th of January in a Belleville court.
