Homicide investigation

Belleville police are seeking the public’s assistance following a stabbing at a North Front Street business overnight Friday that left a 23-year-old man dead and a 30-year-old man in Kingston hospital with injuries.

Officers were called to a business located at 320 North Front Street shortly after 12 a.m. Saturday January 6 for reports of multiple people being stabbed.

Two males, both from Belleville, were transported to hospital where a 23-year-old man was pronounced deceased.

The second male, 30, was subsequently transported to Kingston hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The Belleville Police Criminal Investigations Division with the assistance of the Forensic Investigations Unit are investigating.
