Intimate Partner Violence
On June 24, 2026, at 10:02 a.m., Belleville Police responded to the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute. It was reported that a witness observed a male and female involved in an altercation. The male was seen yelling, throwing a bottle, and striking the female.
As a result of investigation, a 37-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – spousal
He was held for a bail hearing.
Fraud
On May 7, 2026, Belleville Police received an initial report from an organization regarding employee theft. On May 13, 2026, the organization provided additional information to police following an internal investigation. It was determined that the employee had been using a company-issued credit card to purchase personal items while falsely claiming the purchases were for organizational use.
Further investigation revealed the employee charged these purchases to various client trust accounts while retaining the items for personal use.
As a result of investigation, Victoria Woods, 32-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:
- Fraud under $5,000 X7
- Criminal breach of trust X6
She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
Theft of Motorcycle
On June 24, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., Belleville Police attended a business on Moira St E regarding a theft. Staff reported that they observed a male enter the business property and attempt to steal a motorcycle belonging to an employee.
The suspect began moving the motorcycle; however, he was confronted by an employee. The male then dropped the motorcycle and fled the scene.
Shortly afterward, police received a separate call in the area reporting a male attempting to enter vehicles and backyards.
As a result of investigation, Trevor Wynn 43-year-old Belleville man, was located, arrested and charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicle
He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in September.
Fail to Comply
On June 24, 2026, at 10:10 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a report in the city’s north end regarding a female who had fled from a residence where she was required to remain as part of her court ordered conditions.
Staff followed the female for a short distance through a wooded area behind the residence before contacting police.
Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, Emergency Response Unit, and a drone, conducted a search of the area.
At approximately 3:50 p.m., police located the female walking on Harmony Road. Upon seeing officers, she fled on foot, initiating a brief foot pursuit. The female was taken into custody a short distance away.
As a result of investigation, the 27-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:
- Fail to comply with probation
- Outstanding warrants executed
She was held for a bail hearing.
