On June 23, 2026, at 11:30 p.m., Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the involved parties where it was reported that a verbal altercation between a male and a female had escalated, resulting in the male striking the female.
As a result of investigation, a 44-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – spousal
He was held for a bail hearing.
Intimate Partner Violence
On June 24, 2026, at 12:36 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a report of an assault in the city’s east end. It was reported that a witness observed a male punching a female in a parking lot. When witnesses intervened, the female fled the area on foot. Officers spoke with the male suspect, who remained on scene, and subsequently located the female to obtain further information about the incident.
As a result of investigation, a 41-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – spousal
- Fail to comply with a probation order
He was held for a bail hearing.
