Domestic Dispute
On September 8, 2026, at 6:55 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding a domestic dispute.
It was reported that a verbal argument between a male and female escalated into a physical altercation. During the incident, the male attempted to enter a room occupied by the female, damaging the door, before punching the female. The male then left the room and punched his 12-year-old child.
During the investigation, officers learned of an earlier incident that occurred within the same week in which the male kicked a hole in a door and pushed the female.
As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old Quinte West man was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief – destroys or damages property X2
- Assault – spousal X2
- Assault
He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in October.
Harassment
On September 8, 2026, Belleville Police responded to the city’s west end regarding a call for service.
It was reported that a male had attended a location where he knew a female would be, despite being bound by conditions prohibiting him from attending her location.
Officers attended the area and located the male.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly follow
- Failure to comply with an undertaking
He was held for a bail hearing.
Fail to Comply
On September 8, 2026 at 8:35 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a call for service.
It was reported that a male was at the residence despite being bound by conditions not to attend or communicate with the resident.
Upon arrival, officers located the male inside the residence.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
- Failure to comply with an undertaking X2
He was held for a bail hearing.
