Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 95 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 7th of September, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 8th of September, 2022.

Resist Arrest

On the 7th of September, 2022, at 11:31 pm, Belleville Police attended an address on Palmer Road Belleville, Ontario, after receiving information that a male was in attendance that was on conditions not to be there. When police attempted to arrest the male, he became combative and resisted arrest. As a result, a 33-year-old Belleville, Ontario, man was charged with four counts of fail to comply with a release order and one count of resisting arrest. The male is being held for a show cause hearing on the 8th of September, 2022.

Arrested on Warrants

On the 7th of September, 2022 at 8:49 am, Belleville Police were on patrol in the area of North Front Street Belleville, Ontario, when an officer observed a male who was wanted on several charges relating to a home invasion on August 23, 2022.  The male was riding a bike and fled into nearby backyards, where he was eventually arrested. As a result, 33-year-old Trevor Cox of Belleville, Ontario, was arrested for Careless use of a Firearm, Weapons Dangerous, Unauthorized possession of a prohibited Fire Arm, three counts of Pointing a Fire Arm, four counts of Possession of a Fire Arm contrary to a Probation Order, two counts of Fail To Comply with a Probation Order, Wearing a disguise with intent, Break and Enter with intent to commit Indicatable offence, Robbery, and Mischief under 5000 dollars. Cox was held for a show cause hearing on Sept 8, 2022.
