Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 82 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 6th of September, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 7th of September, 2022.

Stolen Vehicle

On the 3rd of September, 2022, sometime after 6:00 pm, unknown persons broke into a home on Haig Road, Belleville, Ontario. The keys for a vehicle were removed from the house, and an orange 2016 Volkswagen Bug, with plate DIXIEBUG, was taken. Anyone with information about the stolen car or, if observed, is asked to contact the Belleville Police at 613-966-0882.  

Police Pursuit

On the 7th of September, 2022, at 3:10 am while Belleville Police were on general patrol in the west end of the city a vehicle was observed driving in the wrong direction of traffic.  The driver failed to stop for police when emergency lights were activated and a short pursuit occurred in the city.  Eventually, the suspect vehicle was stopped in the east end. As a result, a 47-year-old Waterloo, Ontario resident was arrested for Dangerous Operation and Flight from police and held for a show cause hearing on the 7th of September, 2022.
