Suspended drivers
Belleville ON-On the 29th of September 2021 at 4:00 a.m., a Belleville Police officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the West end of the city. A check of the driver confirmed he was a suspended driver. The driver was also unable to offer any proof he had insurance for the vehicle. As a result, the driver was charged with driving while suspended contrary to section 53 of the Highway Traffic Act and operating a vehicle without insurance contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. The 27-year-old Belleville resident was given a November 8th court date.
Belleville ON-On the 29th of September 2021 at 10:30 p.m., a Belleville Police officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the northwest part of the city. A check of the driver confirmed he was a suspended driver. As a result of the traffic investigation, the driver was charged with driving while suspended contrary to section 53, being a G1 driver and operating a motor vehicle unaccompanied contrary to O.Reg 340/94 of the Highway Traffic Act and failing to surrender an insurance card contrary to section 3(1) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. The 43-year-old North Addington resident was given a November 8th. court date.
