The Belleville Police responded to 75 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on the 23rd September 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on the 24th September 2021.
Motor Vehicle Collision Results in Impaired Driving Charges
Belleville, ON – On the 25th of September 2021, at approximately 2:17 a.m., police were called to a Thurlow township area for a report of a single motor vehicle collision. Officers were advised that a vehicle ended up in the ditch and that the female driver exited the vehicle causing a scene. On arrival, officers determined that the driver was intoxicated from having consumed several alcoholic beverages. She was arrested for driving while impaired and taken back to The Belleville Police Service where she provided samples of her breath. The samples of breath did not exceed the legal limit, but did register a warn. Consequently, a 22-year old Belleville woman was charged with careless driving, failing to surrender her driver’s licence, novice driver with blood / alcohol content above 0 mgs. Her driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of 3 days and she was later released on the Part I provincial offence notices.
