Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 74 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 1st of September, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 2nd of September, 2022.

 

Project RENEWAL

On the 1st of September 2022, as a result of a Drug Trafficking investigation in the City of Belleville. Members of Project Renewal, conducted a motor vehicle stop with the assistance of the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team, and K9 Unit.

Police located a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine (3.8 grams), Cocaine (11.2 grams), and Psilocybin (10.1 grams) and 10,485 in Canadian currency.

 As a result of the investigation and traffic stop, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

 23-year-old Temar Reyshawn Stevens of Scarborough, Ontario, was charged with:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
  2. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine.
  3. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin.
  4. Proceeds of Crime Over $5000.
  5. Breach of an Undertaking.
  6. Three counts of Breach of a Recognizance.
  7. Breach of Probation Order.

Stevens was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing on September 2, 2022.

56-year-old Gail Wannamaker of Belleville, Ontario was charged with:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
  2. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine.
  3. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin.
  4. Proceeds of Crime Over $5000.

Wannamaker was released from custody with a court date of October 3, 2022
