The Belleville Police responded to 66 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on 06 Oct 2020 and 5:00 a.m. on 07 Oct 2020.

Breach of Release Conditions

Belleville ON., On 06 October at 5:40 p.m. officers observed a male driving south bound on Cannifton Rd. North. The 76 year old Belleville male was observed to be breaching his release condition by having a passenger in his vehicle, other than a family member. He was arrested and charged with one count of breach a release condition other than to attend court. He was held for a bail hearing on 07 October.

 Assault with a Weapon

Belleville ON., On 06 October at 6:40 a.m. officers attended an address on Casey Rd. in regards to an assault. Upon arrival they spoke to the victim who told police that she had been assaulted by her daughter. The victim further reported that she had been struck in the head with a plastic sword causing her to lose consciousness. As a result of the attack she a sustained a wound on her head. She was transported to Belleville General by ambulance. The 21 year old Belleville female was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a weapon. She was held for a bail hearing on 06 October and remanded into custody. The accused’s name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
