The Belleville Police Service responded to 70 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on the 27th October 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on the 28th October 2021.

Impaired Driving Charges

Belleville, ON - On the 27th of October 2021, at approximately 8:37 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a call of an impaired driver in the West end. A caller had been following the vehicle who was all over the roadway and had thrown a beer bottle from the window on Dundas Street West. Police officers were able to catch up the vehicle and bring it to a stop. The male driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the police station to obtain samples of his breath. 23-year-old Josh COONEY of Quinte West, was charged for impaired driving and driving while his blood / alcohol content was above 80 mgs. He was later released on a promise to appear with first court appearance of the 9th of December 2021.
