Assault Police officer

On October 26^th, 2022, at 2:00pm, Belleville Police attended the area of the downtown core in regards to reports of a male causing a disturbance.  Officer’s located the suspect and were assaulted by the man during the verbal interaction.  The suspect also made death threats towards the officers during the arrest.  The 32-year-old Belleville man was taken into custody and charged with Assault Police and Uttering Death Threats.  The accused was held in custody and will appear in court on October 27^th, 2022 for a show cause hearing.
