Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 214 calls for service over a 72-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 21st of October, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 24th of October, 2022.

Warrants and Traffic Offences

On the 23rd of October, 2022, at 10:22 am, Belleville Police observed a driver of a vehicle known to be wanted by Belleville Police.  The vehicle attempted to evade police and then the driver attempted to flee on foot. The 37-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident, was arrested and charged with the following:

  1. 5 Counts of Operation while prohibited
  2. Flight from police
  3. Take a motor vehicle without consent. 

The warrants were for the following offences:

  1. Pointing a firearm
  2. Obstruct peace officer
  3. Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order
  4. Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  5. Fail to comply with a probation order

The male was held for a show cause hearing on October 24th, 2022.

Warrants

On the 23rd of October, 2022, at 8:15 PM, Belleville Police were notified of a male wanted on warrants that had left a residence in the east end.  At 8:33 pm, police located the male on Dundas East, Belleville, Ontario and he was arrested without incident. As a result, 22-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Travis Knapman was arrested on warrants for:

  1. Assault
  2. Break, Enter and commit
  3. Fail to comply with probation.  T

The male was held for a show cause hearing on October 24th,
