Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 74 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 18th of October, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 19th of October, 2022.

Arrested on warrants

On the 18th of October, 2022, at 4:00pm, officers located a male in the west end who they were aware was wanted on warrants.  The male was arrested on the outstanding warrants for four counts of failing to appear in court, failing to comply with his release order and assault. Ryan Kleinsteuber, 37, of Belleville, was held for a bail hearing on the 19th of October 2022

On the 18th of October, 2022, at 10:00pm, officers on general patrol stopped a male on a bicycle for an equipment violation on Dundas Street West.  A check of the cyclist confirmed that he had outstanding warrants for failing to comply with a previous release order and failing to attend court.  David Ashley, 35, of Belleville was arrested and held for a bail hearing on the 19th of October 2022.

Domestic assault

On the 18th of October 2022 at 1130pm, officers responded to a west end residence regarding a domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived on scene and located a female who had been assaulted by her partner and suffered minor injuries.  The partner was not on scene but was located shortly after at a north end bar.  The 37-year-old Belleville resident was charged domestic assault, and he was released on an undertaking with a November 14th 2022 court date.
