Drug Overdoses
Belleville ON- Belleville Police officers responded to two near-death overdoses in the last 24 hrs, both from the suspected use of fentanyl.
- At 11:30 a.m. officers and paramedics found a male on the floor in a hotel room on North Front Street. The 36-year-old Belleville male was transported to Belleville General Hospital. Investigation showed he had an outstanding arrest warrant in Ottawa. Ottawa Police attended Belleville and took custody of the male when he was medically cleared from the overdose.
- At 5:30 p.m. officers attended a hardware store parking lot on Bridge Street East. They found a male slumped over in the passenger seat who admitted to using fentanyl before passing out. This 49-year-old male from Consecon was transported to Belleville General Hospital.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville ON- Belleville Police officers responded to seven crashes in the past 24hrs. None of the collisions resulted in injuries. They occurred on Stanley St, Millennium Parkway, Coleman St, Donald St, Moira St W, Bridge St E & Bridge St W.
Stolen Trucks
Belleville ON- Belleville Police are investigating the theft of two trucks that occurred within minutes of each other, on opposite ends of the city:
At 10:23 p.m. officers were called to Moira St W, where it was reported a suspect had stolen a 2016 Black Dodge Ram Truck. This Truck was located and recovered by officers on patrol at 3:50am.
At 10:53pm officer attended a home on Old Highway 2 where an unknown suspect had taken a 2010 White Toyota Tundra, ON Plate “7869RX”. The vehicle was last seen going towards Shannonville.
