The Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from October 15th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to October 16th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Female Charged with Public Intoxication
Belleville, ON- On the 16th of October 2020 at 2:00 a.m. Police responded to the area of Ashley Street regarding an intoxicated female. Police attended the area and located the 28-year-old female, who was not from the Belleville area. Due to her intoxication, she was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and transported to the Belleville Police Service where she is to be held until sober. She will be released on a Provincial Offences Notice for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place under the Liquor Licence Act.
Breach of Conditions
Belleville, ON- On the 15th of October 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Police responded to the area of Golfdale Road regarding a male who was breaching his release conditions. Police attended the area and located the suspect male, a 35-year-old Belleville man. Police conducted an investigation that revealed the male was breaching multiple conditions. The male was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Failing to Comply with Release Order, 2 counts of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Mischief Under $5000.The male was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, ON – On the 15th of October 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Police responded to the area of North Front Street regarding a three-vehicle collision. There were no injuries reported and only minor damage to the vehicles. The at fault driver was charged with Follow Too Close under the Highway Traffic Act.
City Police also report a steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on October 16th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, several minor Motor Vehicle Collisions were referred to the Bellville Police Service Collision Reporting Center.
