Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 111 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on the 11th of October, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 12th of October, 2022.

Assault Police officer

On October 11, 2022, at 12:30am Belleville Police attended an address on Bay Bridge Road in regards to a missing person being located.  An elderly person had been removed from a nursing home by a family member the night before without the rest of the family knowing or approving.  Those family members became concerned for their elderly family member’s safety and contacted police.  Police confronted the family member who removed the elderly person from the nursing home however they attempted to leave, refusing to cooperate with police.  As a result of that interaction, a 41-year-old female from Belleville was arrested and charged with Obstruct Police, and two counts of Assault Police.  The accused was held for a show cause hearing and will appear in court on October 12, 2022. 

Mischief

On October 11, 2022, at 11:42am, Belleville Police attended an establishment at Pinnacle Street and Bridge Street E. in regards to a mischief.  The investigation revealed that sometime during the night a suspect had smashed and stole two lights that were outside of the business.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Belleville Police at 613-966-0882 or Quinte Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
