Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 90 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 29th of November, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 30th of November, 2022.

Distraction Theft

On the 28th of November 2022 at 1:50 am, Belleville Police attended a business on Millennium Drive Belleville, Ontario, in regards to a distraction theft. The victim was shopping and was bumped into by another male. While distracted, another male stole her wallet. The investigation is continuing. The Belleville Police remind citizens to be cautious with their bank and credit cards while using them in public. 

Theft

On the 29th of November 2022 at 8:00 am, Belleville Police received a call regarding a theft from a vehicle. The vehicle was parked on Earl Street, Belleville, Ontario.  It is believed that sometime through the night, an unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and stole 500 dollars in tools. There are no suspects at this time, and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.  

Break and enter

On the 29th of November 2022 at 10:56 am, Belleville Police attended a building on College Street West Belleville, Ontario, in regards to a break and enter. The suspects threw a rock through a window and entered the premises. Once inside, they pulled a fire alarm and then fled the scene. Police are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information to contact the Belleville Police at 613-966-0882.
