Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 75 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 15th of November, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 16th of November, 2022.

Flight from Police/ Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 15th of November, 2022, at 2:32 pm, Belleville Police Service assisted the CN Rail Police with a call in the east end of the city. Shortly after 2:30 pm, a vehicle fled from a CN Rail officer near Elmwood Drive and Airport Parkway Belleville, Ontario. The vehicle entered a ditch and rolled over and the driver fled on foot. Attending Officers and the Belleville Police Service drone, searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.

Robbery

On the 15th of November, 2022, at 3:08 pm, Belleville Police were called to the area of City Hall after a person reported that their wallet had been forcibly taken from them. The complainant had just left a bank machine when the suspect approached and stole their wallet containing cash. The complainant was not injured. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black leather jacket with a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a backpack. If anyone has information about this incident, they are asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
