Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 85 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 14th of November, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 15th of November, 2022.

Breach of release condition

On the 15th of November, 2022, at 2:33 am, Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for highway traffic act enforcement purposes. During the course of the stop, the officer recognized the female passenger. A check of the 21-year-old Belleville, Ontario, woman revealed that she had been released on previous charges and was on house arrest. The female was arrested for breaching the condition of her release order and held for a bail hearing on the 15th of November, 2022.

Belleville Police - Swearing in Ceremony

Chief Michael T. Callaghan and the Belleville Police Service would like to invite members of the media to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Belleville’s newest police officer, Constable Aaron Wentzell. 

Justice S. Hunter will be presiding over the ceremony Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 at the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse in courtroom #101 at 4:30 pm.
