The Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service from the 8th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 9th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, ON – On the 8th of May 2020 at 8:42 a.m. police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Harmony Rd and Bronk Rd., at 10:11 a.m. police investigated another two-vehicle accident in the area of Bell Blvd. and North Front St.and at 7:34 pm Police responded to the intersection of Victoria Ave. and Golfdale Rd. for third two-vehicle collision. None of the accidents involved injury and in all three drivers were charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway. They were issued provincial offences notices under The Highway Traffic Act.
City Police also report a relatively busy 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on May 9th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
