Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 87 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on May 29, 2024 to 5:00 am on May 30, 2024.

 

Fail to comply with breath demand

On the 30th of May at 1:30am, an officer on patrol received a notification from their automatic licence plate reader installed in their cruiser of a suspended driver while patrolling the area of College St and Cannifton Rd.  The officer stopped the vehicle and while speaking to the driver, observed that the he was showing signs of impairment from the consumption of alcohol.  The officer continued their investigation and the driver refused to provide a road side breath sample.  As a result, 26-year-old Victor Monilari of Windsor was charged with failing to comply with a breath demand.  He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date in July.

 

Fail to comply with Release Order

On the 29th of May at 2:10pm, a member of the Belleville Police Community Response Unit responded to an unwanted person call at a location on the corner of Bridge St. East and Church St.  Police spoke to the unwanted 56-year-old male of no fixed address.  During their investigation, police learned that the male was wanted on warrants for breaching his house arrest conditions and removing his ankle monitoring bracelet and fleeing from the East Coast.  As a result of the investigation, the male was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a Release Order.  He was held for bail.
