Man Charged with Stunt Driving

Belleville ON- On 23 May 2020, at 10:20 p.m., police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on North Front Street. Police clocked the driver on radar travelling at 102 km/h. As the officer caught up to the driver, he turned onto College Street and was clocked on the radar travelling at 112km/h in the 50km/h zone. The 20-year-old Belleville man was charged with stunt driving, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days as well as his drivers’ licence was suspended for seven days. He was issued a summons to appear in court on 6 July 2020.

Driver Charged

Belleville ON- On 23 May 2020, at 11:45 p.m., Belleville Police stopped a vehicle on Old Highway 2 for speeding. Police identified the driver as 33 year-old Eric Selle. convictions. Sellers was arrested and charged with operation while prohibited as well as speeding. He will appear in court on 6 August 2020.

Teenager Arrested on Warrants/ Drugs

Belleville ON- On 24 May 2020, at 1:05 a.m., Belleville Police checked a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Yeomans Street. While speaking with the driver, police identified a 17-year-old female from Belleville who was wanted for several charges including theft of a motor vehicle, failing to attend court, and breach of recognizance. As police approached the female, she fled. After a brief chase, she was arrested. Following her arrest, police located drugs on the female. The female was later released with a court date of 11 August to answer to the charges. Given her age, her name will not be released.
