Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, ON – On the 12th of May 2021, at approximately 8:46 p.m., police were called to an East end location for a report of a suspicious person. When officers arrived, they encountered a male who was intoxicated due to the consumption of multiple alcoholic beverages. The male was incoherent and had trouble walking on his own accord. The 30-year-old Belleville man was arrested under the liquor licence act for his own safety and the safety of others. He was later released on a Part I offence notice, charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
Theft
Belleville, ON – On the 20th of May 2021, at approximately 5:38 p.m., police were called to the downtown core for a report of a male stealing from a motor vehicle. Luckily the owner of the vehicle caught the thief who was compliant and remained at the scene until the police arrived. The 29-year-old Belleville man was arrested for theft under $5000 and breach of probation. Further investigation revealed that the male also had numerous outstanding charges before the courts and was held for a show cause hearing on the 21st of May 2021.
