Car versus motorcycle collision  

On the 15th of May at 4:30pm, Belleville Police, Belleville Fire and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics responded to a car versus motorcycle collision at the intersection of Dundas St. West and Sidney St.  At the time of the collision, there were two people in the car and two riders on the motorcycle.  As a result of the collision, a 47-year-old female from the car was transported to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries and later released.

Both riders on the motorcycle, a 56-year-old male and a 42-year-old female both from Quinte West suffered serious injuries.  The male was transported directly to Kingston General Hospital.  The female was initially transported to the Belleville General Hospital and later flown to Kingston General Hospital. 

The intersection was closed for several hours while members of the Belleville Police Service’s Technical Collision Investigators Team and Collision Reconstructionist with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Services processed the scene. 

The Belleville Police Service is seeking witnesses or anyone who has dash cam video of the accident.  Witnesses or the owners of dash cam video are asked to contact Cst. Kanyo at rkanyo@bellevilleps.ca or 613-966-0882 x 4132.   Police are continuing to investigate the collision.
