Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 76 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on May 13, 2024 to 5:00 am on May 14, 2024.

 

Arrested on Warrants

On the 13th of May at 10:10pm, Belleville Police were on patrol in the downtown core when they observed a male who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.  Officers confirmed the identity of 43-year-old Lucas Massie of Belleville.  Massie was arrested on the strength of the warrants for failing to comply with a Probation Order and for failing to attend court.  He was transported to the Belleville Police Service and held for bail. 

 

Arrested on Warrant

On the 14th of May at 1:45am, a Belleville Police officer on patrol in the area of Sidney St. and Bell Blvd. believed they recognized a male who was riding his bike in the pouring rain.  The officer spoke to the male and confirmed his identity as 42-year-old Michael Juby of no fixed address.  The officer confirmed that Juby was currently wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant for committing an indecent act in a public place.  Juby was subsequently arrested without incident on the strength of the warrant.  He was later released on an Undertaking with a court date in June. 

 

Arrested on Warrants

On the 14th of May at 4:45am, Belleville Police responded to a call of a disturbance on Coleman St.  Upon their arrival, officers spoke to the involved parties.  While doing so, officers identified a 34-year-old male from Belleville and learned that he was wanted on numerous outstanding arrest warrants for break and enter, robbery, mischief and failing to comply with a Probation Order.  Officers arrested the male without incident.  The male was held for a bail hearing.  The name of the accused is not being released as the initial incident relates to a domestic related occurrence and the police will be protecting the identity of the victim.
