Stolen Vehicle
Belleville ON-On March 5th 2021 at 4:45 a.m., Belleville Police attended the West end of the city regarding a vehicle that had been stolen from a driveway on Octavia Street. The vehicle owner had started the vehicle to warm it up when it was taken by an unknown person. Officers located the vehicle abandoned later in the day at a north end business. The investigation is continuing.
Prohibited Driver
Belleville ON-On March 5th 2021 at 7:40 a.m., a Belleville Police officer stopped a vehicle on College Street East. Investigation revealed that the driver was prohibited from driving for life. As a result of the investigation 57-year-old Richard Casselman of Quinte West was charged and released with an April 1st criminal court date.
Domestic Incidents
Belleville ON-On March 5th 2021, Belleville Police began an investigation into a complaint regarding two incidents which had occurred in February, involving a domestic assault and the same involved suspect who had been located unwanted in a residence days later. As a result of the investigation a 44-year-old Belleville resident was charged with spousal assault and being unlawfully in a dwelling. The accused was later released with an April12th court date.
Belleville ON-On March 5th 2021 at 9:00 p.m. Belleville Police responded to a disturbance in the East end of the city. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a female who was located on scene. The 36-year-old Belleville resident was charged with spousal assault and domestic mischief. The accused was later released with an April 12th court date.
