Domestic Charges
Belleville, ON – On the 3rd of March 2021 at 8:41 a.m., Police responded to the area of Cannifton Road North regarding a domestic. Upon arrival Police conducted an investigation that revealed the involved male party had committed several domestic related offences. Subsequently, the Belleville male was arrested for various domestic offences and was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for bail.
Theft Charges as a result of Shoplifting
Belleville, ON – On the 3rd of March 2021 at 1:35 p.m. Police responded to a business in the area of Millennium Parkway regarding a shoplifting incident. A male suspect was observed leaving the business, with a large quantity of merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items. The suspect left the store in a vehicle and was subsequently located on Sidney Street and stopped by Police. As a result of a Police investigation, 22-year-old Harjit Singh was arrested for Theft Under $5000. Mr. Singh was released on an Appearance Notice and was given a Court date of April 8th 2021 to face the charge.
City Police report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on March 4th, 2021. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, a motor vehicle collision was referred to the Collision Reporting Center located at the Belleville Police Service.
