Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 64 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 29th of March, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 30th of March, 2022.

Breach of Undertaking & Harassment

On the 29th of March 2022 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Belleville Police observed a thirty-one-year-old Trenton, Ontario male in the Sidney Street and Cascade Boulevard area in the city of Belleville. The male was arrestable on reasonable grounds for two counts of Fail to Comply with an Undertaking and one count of Criminal Harassment. The male was arrested and transported to the Belleville Service and is being held for a show cause hearing on the 30th of March, 2022.

Arrest on Warrants

On the 29th of March 2022 at 9:20 p.m. Belleville Police observed a female in the area of Moodie Street Belleville, Ontario who was wanted on a warrant with the Ontario Provincial Police. The forty-one-year-old female was arrested on the strength of the warrant and arrangements were made to have the female transferred into the custody of the Ontario Provincial Police.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on March 30th 2022.  Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbor and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Three Motor Vehicle Collisions were referred to the Collision Reporting Center; located at the Belleville Police Service.
