Forgery & Breach of Court Order

On March 21st, 2022 at 3:40pm, the Belleville Police were called to a local pharmacy on North Front Street in regards to a male suspect attempting to fill a forged prescription for narcotics.  Officers located the 25-year-old male, who was from Trenton, in the store.  The investigation revealed that the suspect was currently facing other non-related criminal charges and was on an outstanding court order not to be away from his residence without his court approved surety.  The suspect was found to be breaching this order and was arrested without incident.  The accused was charged with Uttering a Forged Document and Breaching his Recognizance.  He was held in custody and will appear before the court today for a show cause hearing.
