The Belleville Police Service responded to 59 calls for service from March 20th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to March 21th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Arrested on Warrants
Belleville, ON – On March 20th, 2021 at approximately 2:39 pm while on general patrol, officers observed a female in the West-end of the city who was wanted on outstanding warrants. Brenda Biggar was arrested on the strength of the warrants for fail to attend court, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited and fail to comply with a probation order. A search was completed and small quantity of drugs was seized. The female was transported to Belleville Police Service where she was held for a bail hearing on March 22nd, 2021.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on March 21th 2021. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
