The Belleville Police Service responded to 72 calls for service from March 18th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to March 19th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Break & Enter

Belleville, ON – On the 18th of March 2021 at 12:03 p.m., Police responded to the area of Willard Street regarding a break & enter. Police attended and conducted an investigation that revealed a suspect forcefully entered a door at the rear of a residence gaining access to the inside. Once inside the residence, the suspect stole various pieces of vintage jewellery and approximately 250 VHS movies. The break & enter is still under investigation. Motor Vehicle Collision  

Belleville, ON – On the 18th of March 2021 at 3:42 p.m., Police responded to the area of Moira Street East and North Front Street regarding a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries reported and the vehicles sustained significant damage. The at fault driver was charged with Red Light Fail to Stop under the Highway Traffic Act and was issued a Provincial Offences Notice.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on March 19th 2021.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
