Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 60 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 10th of March, 2022 to 5:00 am on the  11th of March, 2022.

Arrest on Warrants

On the 10th of March 2022, at 11:52 pm Belleville Police observed a cyclist riding down the road without a light. Police stopped and spoke to the person who identified themselves as thirty-six-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Gordon Green. A record check indicated that Green was wanted by Belleville Police for breaching his probation. Green was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on the 11th of March, 2022.

Theft

On the 10th of March 2022, at 11:10 am Belleville Police were called to a commercial business on Dundas Street East Belleville, Ontario in regards to a theft in progress. A female in her 50 ‘s was observed attempting to steal alcohol. The female was detained by employees and held for police. Police attended and at the store’s request, the female was issued a trespass notice.

Disturbance

On the 11th of March 2022 at 3:30 am Belleville Police attended on Front Street Belleville, Ontario in regards to a fight. Upon police arrival, the disturbance was over. However, one involved party continued to attempt to fight and refused to leave the area. The 25-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident was arrested for public intoxication and removed from the area. He was later released on a Provincial Offence Notice for public intoxication.
