Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 81 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 6th of June, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 7th of June, 2022.

Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 4th of June, 2022 at 8:12 pm Belleville Police Service received a request to attend the area of Dundas and First Street Belleville, Ontario for reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. A fifty-nine-year-old male pedestrian had sustained serious injuries and was taken to Kingston General Hospital for medical treatment. The Belleville Police Service Uniform Patrol, and the Belleville Police Service Traffic Management Unit, attended the scene and the investigation into the collision continues. Car Fire

On the 6th of June, 2022, at 2:54 am, Belleville Police received a call about a vehicle fire on Dundas Street East Belleville, Ontario. Upon police arrival, the vehicle was fully in flames. The vehicle fire was extinguished by the Belleville Fire Department. A record check of the driver, a thirty-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident, revealed he did not have a license. The driver was issued a Provincial Offence Notice, and police assisted the driver in retrieving his possessions.

Break and Enter

On the 6th of June 2022, at 5:53 am, Belleville Police received a call regarding several alarms going off at a business on Adam Street in Belleville, Ontario. When police arrived, they found that the business had been broken into and several items had been taken. The suspect was located a short time later on Cannifton Road in Belleville, Ontario. As a result, a twenty-five-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident was arrested and charged with Theft Under 5000.00 dollars, Break and Enter, and Possession of Property obtained by crime. The male was held for a bail hearing on the 7th of June, 2022.
