Indecent act
On 3 June, 2022, at 3:00pm police received a complaint that a male had exposed himself to children at a Tracey Street school. The male was described as being heavy set with brown hair and dark pants. The male was also reportedly chased away by two people who were nearby. Weapons
On June 4th, 2022, at 10:00pm Belleville Police responded to a weapon call in the west end of the city. Officers received information from an anonymous caller that a male was on foot and had a hand gun on him. Officers located the a 30-year-old male matching the description provided, and they were able to secure an imitation air-soft gun and a pellet/BB gun from the male. Chad Owens, from Belleville, was arrested for two counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and 1 count of possessing an explosive for a dangerous purpose after an explosive substance was found in his backpack after he was arrested. He was transported to Belleville Police Service where he was released on an undertaking with a court date on July 14th, 2022.
