Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 79 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 29th of June, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 30th of June, 2022.

 Breach of Release condition/Arrest on Warrants

On the 29th of June 2022, at 11:30 pm, Belleville Police received a complaint from a female that her partner, that was not supposed to have contact with her, was currently at her residence. Belleville Police attended and located a 48-year-old Belleville, Ontario, male that was breaching current release conditions. As a result, the male was arrested and charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order. A further check revealed that he also had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to comply with his release order. The male was held for a show cause hearing on the 30th of June, 2022.  

Domestic Assault

On the 29th of June 2022, at 6:34 pm, Belleville Police received a call about a domestic dispute on Tracy Street, Belleville, Ontario. Upon arrival, police spoke with the resident. As a result of the investigation into this incident, police formulated grounds that a Domestic Assault had occurred. The suspect had left before police arrival. A short time later, the 36-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident turned himself into the Bellville Police. The male was charged with one count of assault and later released with a court date of the 25th of July 2022.
