Break/Enter and Assault Charges

Belleville, ON – On June 24th, 2021 at 11:06 p.m. officers were called to a Station Street address regarding a break and enter.  Police spoke to the complainant who advised that a female broke into his residence and assaulted him and stole items from his home.  A description was provided to police who located the female a short distance away.  33-year-old Belleville resident Kristine Wendling was arrested for Break and Enter, Theft Under $5000 and Assault.  She was released on an Undertaking with a court date of August 5th, 2021 at Quinte Courthouse.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, ON – On June 24th, 2021 at 3:57 p.m. police were called to East end residence regarding a domestic incident.  Officer arrived on scene and spoke to the female victim who advised that was assaulted by her boyfriend.  The investigation revealed that the male used a knife to assault the female during a heated argument.  The male left prior to police arrival.  While police continued to speak to the victim the male suspect contacted police and wanted to provide a statement, however would not provide his location.  A brief search of the area was conducted for the male who was located and arrested.  The injuries to the victim were non-life threatening and medical attention was not required.  The 21-year-old Belleville man was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon and three counts of breaching his probation.  He was held for a bail hearing on June 25th, 2021.
