Break and Enter and Mischief
Belleville, ON - On the 20th of June 2021, at 6:28 a.m., police officers were called to a downtown business for a report of a mischief. When police arrived they quickly located the male suspect and arrested him for breaking the window of the business with a cross. Further investigation revealed that the cross belonged to a local church that the male had broken into within the previous hour of his arrest. A 37-year-old male from Belleville was charged with break and enter, theft under $5000, mischief under $5000 and failing to comply with his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing on the 21st of June 2021.
Assault with a Weapon
Belleville, ON – On the 20th of June 2021, at 5:20 p.m., police attended a West end location for a report of a disturbance. When they arrived at the location, they spoke with a male victim who advised that had been stabbed during the course of an altercation with a neighbour. The male was taken to Belleville General Hospital where he was treated and later released for non-life-threatening injuries. A 50-year-old Belleville man was arrested, charged with assault with a weapon and was held for a bail hearing on the 21st of June 2021.
