Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 80 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 1st of June, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 2nd of June, 2022.

Mischief

On June 1st, 2022, at 6:30am, Belleville Police responded to a North Front Street business regarding a disturbance between two individuals which resulted in damage to the business window.  The investigation revealed enough grounds to arrest and charge 38-year-old Ian Frappier of Belleville with Mischief.  Mr. Frappier was later released on his own recognizance and will appear in court on June 30th, 2022, to answer to one count of Mischief Under $5000. 

Drug Charges

On June 1st, 2022, at 3:30pm, members of the joint Project Renewal Drug Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle in the region in relation to an ongoing investigation.  That vehicle stop lead to the arrest of 33 year old female from Sudbury for the following criminal charges:

  1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
  2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
  3. Obstruct a Peace Officer
  4. Fail to Comply with a Court Probation Order
  5. Fail to Comply with a Court Release Order
  6. Personation with Intent

The female accused was held at the Belleville Police Service and will appear in court today for a Show Cause Hearing.
