Belleville Police Service responded to 78 calls for service from the 18th of June 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 19th of June 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Fail to Comply with Release Order
Belleville, ON – On the 18th of June 2020 at approximately 9:25 a.m. Police responded to the area of Dundas Street West regarding a suspicious person. Police attended the area and located the suspicious person. An investigation ensued and Police learned that the suspicious person, 28-year-old Belleville woman Heather Harper, was Failing to Comply with her Release Order from previous charges. Heather Harper was arrested for Failing to Comply and she was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she was released on an Undertaking and given a court date of the 20th of August 2020 to face the charge.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, ON – On the 18th of June 2020 at approximately 4:25 p.m. Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the area of North Front Street, Belleville. Minor damage was reported and there were no injuries. The accident is currently under investigation.
Belleville, ON – On the 18th of June 2020 at 5:05 p.m. Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the area of St. Paul Street. Both vehicles sustained damage and one of the drivers suffered minor injuries. The at fault driver was charged with Disobey Stop Sign under the Highway Traffic Act and was issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on June 19th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
