The Belleville Police Service responded to 72 calls from June 9th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to June 10th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Arrested on Warrant
Belleville, ON – On the 9th of June, 2021 at 12:15 p.m. Officers observed a male in the area of Church St. that was wanted on several outstanding warrants. Belleville resident, Christopher Gray was arrested on the strength of the warrants for charges of Theft Under $5000 (3 counts), Fail to Comply with a release order (2 counts) and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order (7 counts). He was held for a bail hearing on June 10th, 2021 at Quinte Courthouse.
Weapons Dangerous
Belleville, ON – On June 9th, 2021 at 7:01 p.m. Officers responded to a call regarding a male who had taken a knife and stabbed the front door of an east end residence home. Officer located the 33-year-old male a short distance from the complainants address and arrested him for Mischief and Weapons Dangerous. Further police investigation revealed that the male was on an 810 Peace Bond not posses any weapons. An additional charge of contravening the Peace Bond was added to the list of charges. The male Belleville resident will appear for a bail hearing on June 10th, 2021 at Quinte Courthouse.
City Police also report a steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on the 10th of June 2021. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
