Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 93 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 31st of May, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 1st of June, 2022.

Warrants

On the 31st of May 2022, at approximately 6:30 pm, a twenty-nine-year-old Belleville, Ontario male Martin Ziduljak attended the front counter of the Belleville Police Service to turn himself in for a Mischief Under 5000.00 dollars warrant held by the Belleville Police. Ziduljak was later released with a court date of the 7th of July, 2022.

Impaired

On the 31st of May 2022, Belleville Police were called to the area of Bethel Road Thurlow, Ontario, for an impaired driver. A vehicle had left the roadway and drove over lawns and some flower beds. The vehicle was located with extensive damage to the front end. As a result of the investigation, sixty-seven-year-old Allan Courneyea of Plainfield, Ontario, was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample and driving while prohibited due to a previous conviction of impaired driving. Courneyea was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act for careless driving and driving while suspended. Courneyea was later released with a court date for the 7th of July 2022.
