Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 86 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 7th of July, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 8th of July, 2022.

Mischief

On the 7th of July 2022 at 4:30 pm, a Belleville Police officer on patrol was travelling on Church Street when he observed a male throw a rock at a passing vehicle causing damage to that vehicle.  The officer arrested the male after witnessing the unprovoked incident.  As a result of the investigation, 41-year-old Tyler Branscombe of Belleville was charged with mischief to property and was released on an undertaking with an August 4th court date.

Flight from Police

On the 7th of July 2022 at 11:30 pm a Belleville Police officer attempted to stop a motorcycle travelling on College Street East for an equipment violation.  The motorcycle failed to stop for the officer and fled the scene.  The motorcycle was located a short time later and the rider was identified and arrested.  40-year-old Nathaniel Case of Belleville was charged with flight from a peace officer, driving while suspended, operating a vehicle with no insurance, using plates not authorized for the vehicle, and operating an unsafe vehicle.  Case was given an August 11th criminal court date to answer all the charges.

Arrest on Warrants

On the 8th of July 2022 at 1:00 am, a Belleville Police Officer on general patrol observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of an east-end apartment building.  A passenger in the vehicle was known to the officer.  A check of the male confirmed he was on a current release order with one of his conditions being to obey a 11 pm – 6 am curfew and a current probation order.  As a result of the investigation, the 37-year-old Foxboro resident was charged with failing to comply with his release order and failing to comply with his probation order.  He was held for a bail hearing later today.
