Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 81 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 6th of July, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 7th of July, 2022.

Arrested on warrants

On 6 July, 2022, at 8:40pm police received a call that a male was being chased away from an apartment by a male brandishing a weapon. On arrival, police were advised that a male attempted to force entry into an apartment and was chased away by a male with a pellet gun. Police arrested the occupant of the apartment, 42-year-old Michael Huntley of Belleville. He was charged with four counts of breaching a weapons prohibition, one count of breach of probation, and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon. He was later released with a 4 August 2022 court date. Police also located in the apartment 31-year-old Alisha Maille of Belleville who was wanted on outstanding warrants for drug, weapons, and breach of court order charges. She was arrested and held in custody for a show cause hearing on 7 July 2022.

Stabbing

On 7 July, 2022, at 2:30am, police received a call regarding a male who was stabbed in the Pine Street area. The male suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to Kingston General Hospital for treatment. The K9 Unit and Emergency Response Unit located the suspect’s residence; however, the suspect remains outstanding. This is believed to be an isolated incident, and the involved parties are known to each other, so there is no safety concern for the public.
