Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 82 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 28th of July, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 29th of July, 2022.

Mischief

On 24 July, 2022, at 12:50 am, police received a complaint regarding a male using a skateboard to cause property damage in the Front Street and Pinnacle Street area. The unknown suspect had struck several vehicles along Front Street as well as breaking a window at a Pinnacle Street business. If anyone recognizes the suspect, or has information regarding this incident, please contact Cst Steve Genore at sgenore@bellevilleps.ca

Arrested on warrants

On 28 July, 2022, at 6:20pm, police observed a male known to them to be wanted at the intersection of Coleman Street and Moira Street West. Police approached the male who attempted to flee; however, he was quickly arrested. Mike Mowers, 37, of Belleville was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with probation, and failing to comply with a release order. He was held for a bail hearing on 29 July 2022.
